Light Filters In: Poems Reviews
3.8 stars. I am not a big fan of poetry, and i'm not going to pretend i understand everything this book was talking about. But there is no denying the immense amount of talent that this girl has. There is no denying that this collection of poems touched me more deeply than any other book ever has. I don't think I have ever cried more while reading while I did reading this. I thought I would share some of the poems that I particularly loved with all of you:
Strong debut by this young author. Full review to come following release. Thank you to Harper for providing me an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
* technically * I only read the sneak peak, but this is raw, and beautiful, and sad, and hopeful, and childish, and profound, and angsty, in the way that somehow only teenagers can be.
This was my first taste of Caroline Kaufman’s poetry, and I am very excited to read the full poem.
I’m an Indigo Employee, and I received a sneak peak of this book, in exchange for my honest feedback.
Caroline Kaufman's (@poeticpoison's) debut poetry collection is raw, emotional, and spectacularly brave. When I first picked this book up I had only meant to read a few poems just to check it out. A little while later, I found myself entirely caught up in Kaufman's mind. Before I knew it, I was closing the back cover, marking my favorite poems, and adding 'Light Filters In' to my list of 'Poetry Bibles' among the likes of Amanda Lovelace and Rupi Kaur.

AS SEEN ON: A THOUSAND WORDS A MILLION BOOKS
I received a review copy from HarperCollins India in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
This collection of poems by Caroline Kaufman blew me away.
I didn’t know what to expect, going in. Over the last few months, I’ve been gravitating towards poetry more and more. My Instagram feed is essentially filled with these beautiful words put together by such talented individuals, and I’m honestly in awe of it all.
Trigger warnings are quoted below:
I talk about mental illness, self-harm, suicide, recovery, sexual assault, abusive relationships, violence, and other issues that may not be the easiest to swallow.Caroline Kaufman is probably better known (so far) by her Instagram profile @poeticpoison. Published while still a teenager, this book is a mixture of dark and light, heartache and hope. Poetry can be very hit and miss for me and I found that to be the case with this collection as well. Talented. The writing from this author is just beautiful. I rarely can connect to someone’s poetry, but this was the exception. By far one of the best poetic souls I’ve come across.
Light Filters In: Poems is such an incredibly powerful book of poems. Caroline’s words are able to portray such raw emotion that really let you experience her feelings. This book was so emotionally jarring that i couldn’t put it down. I love this book so deeply and highly recommend it to anyone.
