Flights of Fancy Reviews
Honestly, I could go on and on about my love for Jen Turano's writing until Buttercup came home. She is my favorite historical author. I know that some people have a hard time with the ridiculousness of her stories, but honestly, they make me laugh so hard. They are always the perfect mix of comedy, romance, drama, and inspirational all wrapped into one enjoyable book sized package.
This might have been her most ridiculous story yet and that is saying something since I distinctly rememb ...more
Flights of Fancy is the first book in Jen Turano’s new American Heiresses series. Jen has been one of my all-time favorite authors for a very long time now, actually since I read her very first ever prequel novella—Gentleman of Her Dreams—almost seven years ago. I’ve read every single thing she has written since then, and her books only keep getting better and better. Historical fiction has always been one of my favorite genres, and Jen is just one of the
most talented historical fiction writers. ...more

Authentically quirky and occasionally zany, this heartwarming story proves that you can indeed take the city out of the city girl and with entertaining results! This book is Jen Turano storytelling at its finest, including the irresistible combination of children and animals.

This right here is the reason I anticipate every new Jen Turano book. There is a lot of laughing on my part when I’m reading them, but these stories also have depth to them. And Flights of Fancy adds even more elements to that winning combination.

He had the sneaking suspicion her question was completely serious, which spoke volumes about her experience, or lack thereof, in the kitchen.
Delightfully engaging, Turano once again takes readers on a fanciful jaunt into the countryside with an heiress seeking anonymity from an unsuitable suitor. But fanciful isn’t the only thing going on here. What struck me most about this story is Isadora’s journey to becoming better—a better person, that is.
While many assumptions are made about ...more
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STORY!!!!
My favorite aspect to Jen Turano’s novels is her awesome sense of humor. I adore the witty banter and the slapstick in Flights of Fancy. This book is filled with excellently hilarious, laugh-out-loud scenes. I actually read about half of this story out loud to my husband so we could laugh together. The hilarity alone makes Flights of Fancy a must-read for 2019!
Turano’s message in this novel that God puts us all on specific paths for very specific reasons really re ...more
MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
This book was a very delightful read! I love Je Turano books and this one is as good if not better than her other reads! Isadora was desperate to hide from the horrible Duke her mother was trying to marry her off to. Why he had been married three times before and all of his previous wife’s had mysteriously disappeared. Isadora did not want to number four! So with the help of several influential people, Isadora landed a job at Glory Manor. But the Glory was not what Isador ...more
